2017-18 Men’s Winter LAX Pre-season


We are excited to be offering our winter performance training geared just Men’s LAX players.

We have a two month option (recommended) and a one month option.

Two & Three Month “Crawl to Walk” – During the first month, training sessions are designed to work on the athletes weakness (footwork, agility, sprint mechanics) as well as any deficiencies in strength and conditioning. Athletes will learn athlete nutrition concepts, injury prevention and recovery techniques. Our goal is for each participating athlete to improve and be lean, powerful and tenacious on the lacrosse field. Training will gradually intensify and prepare them to begin season strong and fit!

One Month “Run” – The goal of the second month is to get in-shape to begin the LAX season. Focus is on TEAM Building .Training will be intense, and accountability will be enforced. and focus on team building, general strength, speed and agility. It will be a highly competitive and intense atmosphere. A winning mindset begins with winning in training. The Last week will focus on recovery, competitive team games

 

ALL SESSION FORMAT (75 MIN)

Mondays – Pwr Development & Strength. Core & Grip Tuesdays – Pwr Development & Strength. Core & Grip

Thursdays – Pwr Development & Strength. Core & Grip

– Sprint Technique & Acceleration – Jumping & Speed/Agility Resistance – Sprint Technique & Top End Speed
– Agility (Offensive & Defensive) / Footwork – Gpp & Conditioning – Agility (Offensive & Defensive) / Footwork
– Strength Development – Mobility & Flexibility – Strength Development
– Mobility & Flexibility – Mobility & Flexibility

Note: We understand some athletes maybe taking a weight lifting class, our program will work around what they do to avoid over-training.

Performance Program

  • Duration. Small group training program starting Monday November 28th and ending Thursday February 8th (No team training week of December 26th, small group option)
  • Training Time. Lacrosse specific training will be held:
    • 3:15 to 4:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays – APEX MEN’S LACROSSE
    • 5:00 to 6:15pm Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays – APEX FRIENDSHIP & OTHER
  • Athletes that are signed up are expected to show up for EVERY SESSION, as they do progress. please try to show up 5-10 Minutes early for personal warm-up.

TRAINING OPTIONS & PRICE

Three Months: November 6th through February 8th (35 sessions – Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays) – $350

  • November: 6th, 7th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, 30th – Continues

Two Months: December 11th through February 8th (24 sessions – Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays) – $225

  • December: 11th, 12th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 21st January: 1st, 2nd, 4th – Continues

One Month: January 8th through February 8th (15 sessions – Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays) – $150

  • January: 8th, 9th, 11th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 29th, 30th
  • February: 1st, 5th, 6th, 8th
