Meet the Staff – Futsal
Eliott Torres is from Kansas City, MO. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in Psychology and Exercise and Sports Sciences. He has since been playing and coaching soccer. He was an assistant coach with a Cleveland United GCAA team for several years and has recently joined the SportHQ coaching staff as a futsal coach. He has coached all ages and soccer levels, from beginners to collegiate players. Having grown up playing and being involved in the soccer community, Eliott knew that coaching children was a goal as he feels there is limitless potential, ability to learn easily and an eagerness to excel in children.
Mazen joined our coaching staff to work with FC Barcelona during the summer of 2014. He brings a long playing history as a goalie and as a coach at all levels, both juniors, college and professional. He currently also serves as a coach in TFCA.
Currently, David Rodriguez is CASL Assistant Rec Director/Administrator and coaches U12, U13, and U15 boys. Grew up playing in Dallas, TX and played college soccer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before coaching, he also played at various PDL teams, USL Pro, and in the MLS reserves. Growing up in Dallas, David was active in futsal. David’s coaching experiences include: 1 Year at Twin Valley Soccer Association, PA, Volunteer Assistant at the University of North Carolina-Men’s Soccer, NC, 1.5 Year at Triangle United Soccer Association (TUSA), NC, 2 Years at Capital Area Soccer League (CASL), NC, Assistant at Louisburg College, NC. Playing experiences include: Carolina Dynamo PDL, NC (2007-2008), University of North Carolina, NC (2006-2010), Reading United AC PDL, PA (2010-2011), Harrisburg City Islanders USL Pro, PA (2011), Reserves with Philadelphia Union and FC Dallas (2011-2012). David also holds a USSF E License and is currently acquiring his USSF D License.
